During one week in April of every year , the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) host a week of fun-filled activities called Week of the Young Child (WYOC) that celebrates young children and their families with hands-on and collaborative activities, encouraging movement and healthy lifestyle experiences through music, art and especially food.
Each day has its own activity that encourage children to be creative or share bonding times with families from exploring textures alone, exploring sounds together, movement and music together and of course, cause and effect reactions. Which child doesn’t like cause and effect reactions?
Take a look at the activities that I have come up with to share with you all as you explore the Week of the Young Child 2020 at home.
